Connections For Kids believes in the importance of education and skills training for the enhancement of our employee's knowledge in this profession. Our employees receive training through in-service classes conducted by our certified trainers and clinical professionals. They also participate in nationally recognized seminars which focus on the current best practice methods for treatment.

Connections for Kids works in collaboration with Essential Learning at www.essentiallearning.com. This is an interactive approach to learning by way of the web. There are a variety of over 400 classes available for all levels of employees. The curriculums are directly related to the competencies for best practice in the field of child and youth care work. It gives new employees the basics to begin their work and it gives the seasoned veterans a chance to explore specialized topics.

The employer is often challenged by coordinating training that fit with the employee's work schedule. The day to day demands of the job often don't allow a large enough participation for a class to be held. This method of learning allows employees to manage their own training time.
